With a dome diameter of 27 meters and capacity for 430 people, the Malaga Planetarium (MP) is the largest planetarium in the European Union.  The campus provides 8,800 square meters of space to explore the Universe; visit temporary exhibitions; attend educational workshops; enjoy local Spanish cuisine and relax in beautiful gardens.

 

Dr. Alberto J. Castro-Tirado is the Founder of the Malaga Planetarium and an Astrophysicist.  Dr. Castro-Tirado's passion for science and teaching spans across almost 3 decades of a distinguished career.  But he always wanted to reach more people;  always searched to find new ways to share his love of science; always eager to share knowledge in new and interesting ways to make it fun for everyone, whether 2 or 102 years old.
