Happenings
A weekday or weekend, daytime or evening time, Malaga Planetarium always has things happening in addition to the dome’s showtimes.
Planetarium shows
Planetarium great shows will not only deal with space themes, but also cover both science content (astronomy, biology, physics, geology...) and other immersive experiences (arts, scuba diving, illusionism, tornado hunting...).
Exhibitions
On-going temporary and permanent exhibitions compliment our wide range of topics and provide an enhanced experience while visiting the Malaga Planetarium.
Having the largest dome in Europe, the Planetarium enjoys using the screen for a myriad of additional explorations such as the ocean, biology, and the animal kingdom.
Temporary Exhibitions:
We have a revolving schedule for temporary exhibitions which includes visiting exhibits from planetariums around the world.
Permanent Exhibition:
Our own permanent exhibition compliments our permanent shows. After experiencing the dome, come visit our permanent exhibit for deeper understanding of everything you saw during the show!
Educational Workshops
Various themed workshops change every 90 days. Young-mind and family workshops are given on weekends while student and senior programming is offered daily during the week. These workshops vary from the more focused elements of the Universe to generalities which answer the most common questions. If you’re interested in taking a deep dive into the sun, our galaxy or simply learning the complex technology that makes a planetarium run, make sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on all our happenings.
Field Trip:
We offer whole-day educational programs for schools, elementary through University.
Science Camp:
Your are children most welcome to come any day of the week for interactive learning, games and lunch.
Events
We can consider both Singular Events and Private ones. Singular Events refer to product presentations, concerts with projected images, poetry reading, artistic performances... Private Events include that refers to conventions, company meetings or corporated presentations or private sessions
Non-Planetary Subjects:
MP has a plethora of topics to explore such as the creatures of the oceans, biology, and the animal kingdom.
Private Events:
With a capacity of 430, the Planetarium also offers the dome for unique private parties and events.
Conferences
Single or multi-day conferences occur regularly at MP. The scientific community of Spain has come to rely on the Planetarium to host multi-day domestic and international scientific conferences. Given the design and the capacity (430 people) of the dome, additional sectors (medicine, technology, hospitality) have found the Planetarium an ideal venue to host their conferences as well.
One-Day Conference:
The Planetarium accommodates for your conference needs. We can open as early as 6:00 and stay open for as long as you need for your one-day conference.
Multi-Day Conference:
If your conference requires a multi-day program, we will happily accommodate your request. Usually, we have 3-5 day conferences, however, we can extend that time frame provided enough notice.
